South East Surrey Dyslexia Association is a registered charity affiliated to the British Dyslexia Association. It is totally dependent on membership subscriptions, donations and a limited amount of fund raising.
Committee members meet once a month excluding August and December.
SESDA covers an area of South East Surrey including Reigate, Banstead, Caterham, Dorking, Horley, Mole Valley and Tandridge
Anyone outside these areas is welcome to join the Association if he/she wishes.
SESDA has several Open Meetings a year on subjects related to Dyslexia.
Anyone with an interest in Dyslexia is welcome to come.
There is a Parents and Carers Support Group which meets once a term.
This is an informal evening when parents and carers can talk about any aspect of dyslexia they like with other parents and specialist dyslexia teachers.
SESDA also runs Teachers’ Courses.
There is an attendance certificate available for everyone.
The Helpline is available for information and support.
